First post! Just joined the family. Recently purchased a 1600-2 and anything ive found online has not been much help with the VIN. hoping y'all can help me sort this out.
VIN 1525747
Cheers,
Kevin
Hey Kevin - welcome.
Per the 2002 FAQ (you should join) Production Numbers listing - that VIN is for a 1967 Model Year 1600-2.

The 2002 Club Columbia has an online VIN Decoder - the "Decodificador" that works for early VINs.https://www.bmwclasicos.com/foro/threads/595/
But the best info is obtained by making a nice request of the great folks at the BMW Archives - who will give you exact manufacture date, color, etc. by proving them your VIN. Email: info.grouparchiv@bmwgroup.com
Regards,
Tom

Thanks for the info. I finally found the build date. funny thing is it's titled as a 69.
