Just ordered our new plate yesterday. We had several clever ideas. But we opted for the obvious when we learned it was available. So our new tag will read "2000 Z3".
Well, I didn't choose the alpha-numeric pattern, but this is my new plate:

Honestly, though it saves me the price of annual registration,
safety inspection, and a few hundred insurance $ per annum,
I feel kinda silly displaying the words Antique and Historic
on a car built in 1996.

A friend of mine had a plate that read, O2B CRZN.

Hello all...
In the state of Kansas, they do not duplicate any vanity plate. I'm sure it's the same in every state. Anyway, with 3+ million people in Kansas, I was pleasantly surprised to find that "2000 Z3" was available. I tried "BMW Z3" but it was taken.

On another note, the 2.8 version came with chrome exhaust tips. The 2.3 (2.5) version did not. Any ideas where I could find a pair?

Super easy to install and looks great.

British Naval expression. Not really Z related

So a couple of weeks ago, I proudly posted my vanity plate with "2000 Z3" on it. Then I realized how woeful my exhaust pipes were. So, with a few tips from fellow board members, I bought a new set of chrome exhaust tips. The installation took about 5 minutes. Here's a couple of before and after pics...

Thanks for the input from our fellow z3 owners!!!

Around the year 2000, they were trying to differentiate the 2.3 (really 2.5) from the 2.8. Maybe they just left the tips off of the 2.3 version???
Another note...I have owned a 2000 2.3 in Steel Grey and a 2000 2.8 in Steel Grey. On the 2.3, the inside of the trunk was painted in flat grey paint. On the 2.8, the inside of the trunk was painted in metallic grey paint. I think the same holds true for the underneath side of the hood. Not a big deal. But again, BMW trying to add value to the 2.8 model.

Reminds me of an old Campbell's soup commercial. MMM Good job on that plate.
