Help with codes? Vanos / Camshaft Postion sensor / Clutch switch (?)

    Hey guys,

ever since I bought my car (at times) it's had an inconsistent idle, where it hunts for revs between 750rpm and 1,000rpm. Sometimes, it's also been taking a while to crank. I took it to a shop to get inspected and got the following codes:

000076 - DME: Electric throttle: signal, potentiometer, throttle
    00006B - DME: Electronic throttle: self-test
000078 - DME: potentiometer, signal comparison
    00008F - DME: Electronics-box fan
000050 - DME: Switch chain, frictional connection
000016 - DME: Exhaust vanos, advance valve
0000B9 - DME: Function, exhaust VANOS

Here's a video I took, with the car revving up to 3.5k RPM. Let me know what you guys think.

Part of it if not all related to you throttle position sensors. There are 3 of them, either replace then all or figure out which one is bad. Start with the front throttle sensor, if that dont fix proceed to pedal, and last one is under the intake manifold.

Edit: The last 2 codes could be exhaust hub tab, but I'm guessing here without solid evidence to back that up.

Start with your tps and go from there.

The S-54 is known for breaking off the exhaust tab on the VANOS, I wouldn't run the car until you have verified that both are still there. Also you can be looking at a worn-out VANOS, for the seals do go bad over time and it won't adjust as the DME requests.
