Hi everyone, I just finished putting in a refurbished engine and converting the car from SMG to stick shift and everything works well. The last phase is to get the software changed so that the car knows it's now a stick shift. Does anyone have any recommendations in Everett / Seattle area. Once I get this done I'll post up the process. Car is an E46 M3.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone. I"m using ECUworxs from the UK to do it remotely. I have the cable, just waiting for an appointment. Hopefully she will purr after this.
I am in the Los Angeles area and would like to find a shop that does the smg to manual conversion on my02 M3 - I found Lang in Lake Forest and they want $4000. Can anybody suggest a reputable shop at a reasonable rate ?
That's the only shop that I know that does this, or at least advertises they do it. You could phone around some BMW independent specialists. It is quite a lot of work thought, and I don't think it will be cheap to get a shop to do it.
thanks for the reply I have hunted on the internet and facebook and haven't found anyone local
OP, were you able to get this resolved? I'm putting together an SMG to manual conversion for my '05 M3 convertible and have everything figured except the software programming. I'm a ferry ride away in Poulsbo, Kingston area… Seems most geographic areas have a shop or two that does this on the regular but not the PNW?!? Finally some nice ///M weather though!

Yup, I was just in touch with them. Def. planning to utilize their services when I'm through the mechanical portion of the project… Thanks!
My M3 rebuild is complete. I got my coding done remotely through ecuworxs. Martyn is a top guy and was very patient with my lack of coding knowledge. My cable took forever to get to delivered as there was something wrong with the barcode on it, but once here MArtyn was on top of it. Highly recommend.
