Very thorough. Maybe the brakes are also used on some other car or maybe ate still sells them but without the logo. Red brakes are popular these days.

Excursions into air duct discussions here: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-Air-Duct-Help

Turns out 17112227690 isn't compatible withe LTW/GT air duct. Ordered to complete the front air ducting:

    51-71-2-253-303 & 17-21-2-227-344 - Oil cooler air ducts
    51-71-8-135-939 - Air duct bracket

Also ordered these to complete the underbody ducting. Most of these parts were found on the Euro E36s. Pretty sure I got the right stuff but there might be some trial and error here:
    51-71-2-491-567 - Center underbody coating
    51-71-2-490-230 - Underfloor coating bracket
    11-81-1-095-700 - Stop buffer for x brace
51 71 2 489 775 - "Screening" - this should attach next to center underbody panel and cover the side of the oil pan.
07-11-9-916-949, 07-12-9-904-231, 07-11-9-901-299 - nuts and bolts to install al this

Since I live in a mandatory front plate state that is strictly enforced, I ordered the factory front plate set up:
51-11-2-265-632 - Impact strip on front bumper
51-18-1-908-062 - front plate bracket (I think this is off an E34 as I didn't see one listed for an E36)
    07-14-3-448-498 x 6 - screws for the above
    51-18-1-852-299 x 2 - grommets
46-63-7-651-465 - nuts for the screws

    95' M3,
It seems to me like you are going through this car in a very thorough manner, but my I ask why you went with those calipers since no ///m or anything? Were the ones you have too far gone to rebuild with new seals?

The calipers were exactly identical sans logo- every curve, crevice, indentation was exactly the same. Would have I preferred they have the logos? Yeah, but functionally there's no difference here. If I had decided to rebuild my old calipers to this standard, they'd still be off the car while I wait for my powdercoating guy to finish them. I value the time saved being able to take the old part off and bolt the new one right back one. It took an afternoon to do all the brakes instead of a week, and I got a core refund.

Got some tires mounted. Yokohama Advan Fleva V701. My friend runs these on her MR2 Spyder. They seem to work really well among smaller lighter cars. Normally I run the Michelin PS4S on my cars which is an amazing tire, but frankly it's way overkill for a car with 240 horsepower and around 3000lbs and probably would take some of the fun out of it. A PS4S is near the equivalent of a racing slick in 1999.

Decided to get the heater hoses over with. To make the job easier I removed the intake manifold. Replacing:

13411435781 - Idle control valve hose
13411733217 - idle control valve gasket
    11611740069 x 2 - Intake manifold gaskets
11611703779 - Intake manifold cover gasket
    11611716174 - throttle body gasket
13541703693 - ASC to throttle body gasket
13541703945, 13541703865 - coolant hoses to throttle body
    64211394292, 64211394291, 64211394293 - hoses to heater core
    Bosch starter
ECS fuel injector installation kit (OE clips, fuel rail bolts, Rein o rings)

Anything else you guy would replace? Obviously have a lot of access right now. Already gave the ICV a good clean. There's no codes, so I don't see the need to replace sensors. Vanos oil line is an obvious one but it isn't leaking. I'm not too worried as I will be removing manifold again relatively soon to install modifications.

Let me guess, you purchased this spoiler used from a novice who does not know proper packaging techniques. Hope it was insured. Sorry to see this happen.

I am in the process of restoring a Titanium Silver version of essentially the same car... 99 with power seats, audio, with ~90k, straight body, no wrecks, all matching VINs, etc. I am a few months behind you in work, though.

My 99 has a dealer installed rear spoiler as well. I've been wanting to delete the 3rd brake light from the rear package shelf, so it's really cool to see someone with the same line of thought. Do you happen to have any more pics of the install? Or of that area in general? I'd like to keep the speakers, so it's a little disappointing that the rear package shelf isn't available with the cutouts.

Im also curious what the bolt pattern looks like for your dealer installed spoiler? Mine is cracked, so Im in the process of replacing it with an OEM spoiler... but after removing the dealer one, it looks like the bolt pattern is different from the standard OEM spoiler. Not the end of the world, but unfortunate to have to drill new holes in the trunk. Especially given that the rear mounting holes are very close to each other, so the new holes will be right next to the old ones.

Unfortunately I don't have any more pics, but the install is fairly straightforward. You do have to remove the side bolster on the rear seat which just lift out and the C pillar trim pieces which are very easy to break the tabs when removing. They each attach with 4 clips. I ended up replacing these as mine broke. If I remember right the brake light itself is only held on by one bolt which you access from the trunk. You may also need to replace 51-46-8-130-863, which is attached via 4 clips where the shelf meets the rear seats. For what it's worth the new shelf does come outlined of where you need to cut for the speakers, so I may revisit this.

Do note I also replaced the rear glass to correct the defroster lines around the now missing brake light. If you don't do this it will look off in my opinion. The other option would be to keep the shelf brake light, and go for a spoiler without a light instead.

A far as the spoiler I had no idea there was a difference between what the factory installed vs the dealer. I am happy to take some pictures of how mine is mounted if that would help.

Got all the radiator ducting wrapped up. I ended up needing to replace the side ducting around the radiator as it wasn't compatible with the oil cooler duct. The part numbers for these are 51712256543 and 51712256544.

I suppose I should probably get an oil cooler considering the amount effort that went into getting ducting for one....

I ordered and installed ECS's clutch pedal kit. It's quite comprehensive and really replaces everything (pedal, UUC bushings, spring, clips, etc) although it was short one measly grommet for the brake pedal spring. I also for good measure installed AKG's delrin brake pedal bushings, an FTE clutch master cylinder, and FTE slave cylinder.

I have to say this job was a pain. Just remove your driver's seat and get it out of the way. Once you've done it it's straight forward but space and visibility are tight. For this reason I recommend replacing as much as you can down here so you don't have to do it again.
    Before:

    After:

As you can see the brake pedal pad is quite worn on the side, so a new one has been ordered (35211160422). And yes I am missing the screw cover cap for the hood release. I ordered a new one and it immediately fell off so...

Anyways, this round of parts should wrap things up until winter (I think). Here's what's going in:

    Suspension:
-rebuilt & powdercoated OEM front control arms courtesy of BRaymond141 (these seriously look awesome)
-new front control arm "lollipops" with new Lemforder bushings
-31111137888 & 31111114348 new bolts and washers for the lollipops
-32216769539 & 31106774714 new nuts for the ball joints
-Rogue Engineering rear trailing arm bushings. These are their own rubber bushing design and eliminate the need for limiters
    -33303411877 & 33303411878 new RTAB brackets
    -33326760386 x 6 RTAB bracket bolts

    Driveshaft:
Ordered ECS's Universal Flex Disc Kit. Includes:
    -new giubo
    -new center shaft support bearing
    -new driveshaft centering sleeve
    -installation hardware

    Transmission related things:
    -Bimmerworld detent repair kit
-OE Sachs Clutch & pressure plate
    -07119906045 x 6 pressure plate bolts
    -OE Luk Dual Mass Flywheel
    -11222243051 x 8- flywheel bolts
    -OE pilot bearing
    -OE Sachs throwout bearing
    -23111224845 throwout bearing guide tube
-21517570284 - clutch release arm spring
    -23117531355 x 4- bolts for guide tube
-21511223281 - stainless steel clutch fork pivot pin from an E31/E39
    -23111224799 - output shaft seal
    -23211224820 - input shaft seal
    -OE rear main seal
    -OE crank seal cover gasket
-Rogue Engineering transmission mounts (already installed actually) with MSportParts transmission tunnel insulation brackets (a must have if your insulation is disintegrating and rubbing on your driveshaft. No more insulation particles getting into your eyes when you're under your car!!!!)

    Shifter:
Ordered ECS's shifter rebuild & upgrade kit. Includes:
    -Turner polyurethane shift arm bushing
    -ECS teflon shifter bushings
-URO shift rod join and bearing pin
    -few other odds and ends
    In addition I ordered:
    -25117527247 - shift lever
    -23121282394 - shaft selector seal
    -AKG Motorsports DSSR

    Other:
ECS Downpipe/catalytic converter installation kit (for exhaust reassembly after transmission install)

That does help, thank you. Although, it looks like we have different spoilers. Im not sure where the dealer installed one on my car came from... perhaps it is from a sedan, instead of a coupe. Or it's possible the first owner installed an aftermarket spoiler.

Btw, Im doing my clutch pedal next weekend. Just received all the parts from the ECS kit, although I have a Mason Engineering pedal. Looks like the install is going to be fun :\

Great work on your car. It's giving me good ideas.

Nice. I didn't learn about the Mason pedal until I was midway through installation otherwise I might have gone that route.

If you did the ECS kit I would order an extra grommet for the brake pedal spring since its short one- mine disintegrated as soon as I touched them. Part #35411113728
