Z4 2010 e89 side emblem roundel size? It fell off :(

    Hello all,

I just brought my 2010 z4 out of winter storage. After the first long drive, I noticed that the side roundel, just the emblem part and you can see where the glue was, had fallen off and was gone. What size roundel do I need to replace it? I see 78 and 82mm. It looks like I cannot get one with for a trunk or hood because this one is flat with glue (no posts on it).

    Thank you.

I have had to replace everyone of mine. The sticker part just falls off. Annoying!!!

To remove the old one I used a thin plastic strap that was used to hold a pallet of boxes together. Slid it behind the roundel and yanked. Hard. Popped right off. You may need to order a grommet or 2 to hold the new roundel in.

Hmmm. I only lost sticker part. My silver area is flush. There are no pins or holes or anything that I can see. I can see a dollop of glue. That was why I was looking for the mm size of the emblem. Maybe there is a sticker badge or even a knock off I can buy rather than spending the full price ...

You can find stickers on ebay. I wouldn't do it. But if you have a steady hand and can apply it straight with no bubbles. May be worth a try. Just measure the the area of the roundel for the size.

I took the measurement. It is 60mm. I don't see any reason not to try and $10 sticker vs a $40 emblem.

The sticker was a raised one and worked well and is straight. The only problem is that it is slightly too small, which means I have a small silver ring around the emblem. I think the real size was 64mm. It looks okay though and since you never see both sides of the car at the same time, it is not really noticeable.
