Door Open Sign

As i drive off the door open sign appears on the dash then dissappears when i stop. All locks work and all doors open as normal. After doing the open all doors check, the interior light stays off when i open the drivers door so i assume its the culprit.

I have done the lubricating and checked door wiring looms but no change.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

sounds like the door switch isn't being switched, I had the same problem awhile ago, I swapped the front and rear driver side door strikers and my problem went away ... the striker on my car was worn... if you decide to try this; there is a nut plate inside the frame that holds the door striker in place so be careful not to drop it I cut the head off a bolt to hold onto it when did the swap or you may want to buy a new door striker if it's too worn out... other people have also taken the door lock mechanism out and repositioned the switch ..... a bad door switch also prevents the security system from arming.....

I used a small bit of gorilla tape wrapped around the door striker large pin (or whatever it's called) for awhile before the fix it got me by for awhile....
