Whiteline KSB536 Strut Bar for E36 Models

Anyone here running the Whiteline KSB536 on their Z3's? The reviews on AMZN indicates compatibility. I received the bar today, but the Right Side (marked Left Side on the packaging) will not clear the negative charging terminal on the strut tower, by a little bit. The bar appears quite well made. Their is one review that reflects possible trimming of the brace bracket, but all (4) reviews are positive. I can trim the bracket to clear the post, but wanted to see if there is any feedback on the use of the bar here. The left bracket fits the strut tower just fine.

I installed the strut brace after trimming the right side mount to clear the negative battery post. With this slight modification, the bar fits perfectly. No issues with hood clearance etc. The Lemforder strut mount studs are secured alright, but next change, will seek mounts with longer studs. Please pardon the dirty engine bay. Separately, I bought this from AMZN, but looks like they have sold out. It is available from 3rd party sellers now.

I have one installed. I didn't really need to modify it but I did; it just barely touched one corner of the nut and didn't look to be resting on it. But, being a bit OCD, I put a small notch so it didn't touch. Barely made a difference...but I feel better. Funny how much different that nut is oriented on my Z.

Literally the easiest mod to make it fit of all time. It takes two minutes.
