    VIN invalid message

I've been trying to find a post addressing an issue that I'm having with NCS Expert. I'm trying to retrieve the ZCS information for my car(1999 528iT) and I'm getting an error message saying that the "VIN is Invalid". Much of the accompanying text is in German which don't speak.

Is anyone familiar with this message and what might be causing it?

I've attached a screenshot of the message.

Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.

    James

It actually means you don't have a connection/communication to that module, for many possible reasons
