M Coupe S52 coolant house routing question

I’m finishing up my coolant system overhaul and had a question regarding the routing of the short hose (part # 64218362777) which comes out of the firewall from the heater core and into the water valve show in the picture. My question is does that hose go into the bottom inlet of the water valve or the top? My before photos show it going into the bottom but some other info is making me doubting myself. If anyone can confirm that would be great. Bentley manual makes no mention.

    Water Valve

Short hose (#64218362777) that exits the firewall

I just looked at mine. Left firewall to bottom of the valve. Right firewall to engine. Top of valve to engine. "Left" is passenger side, "right" is driver side.

Perfect. That’s exactly how I have it. I watched a YouTube video where someone who had it reversed and it had me questioning the way I had it routed. Thanks for confirming mine if correct.
