One dude is telling me my ccv is bad. Like it should suck more air when oil fill cap is removed. He added additional hose from intake to ccv yesterday. I told him my ccv wos working correctly and I tryed different setups , even with ccv delete.
So this morning I just threw away that hose and made it stock again.
Have no idea why am I listening to those ppl. He was so sure about it. I think his project - z3 with M engine made some impression on me

I'm right where you are right now. I have not replaced or rebuilt 10% of what you have YET and really don't plan on it. I cant afford to just keep randomly changing out parts. I have been chasing codes since I replaced the valve cover gasket, camshaft adjuster gasket, eccentric shaft seal, variable timing sensor, variable timing solenoid, cleaned the vanos, and today I replaced the fuel purge valve. Its still misfiring and has rough idle, rough start. I was in an accident day before yesterday due to my car quitting on a right hand turn-dude rear-end me. I got a ticket for impeding traffic and he got one for at fault accident. I need to figure this out. I have a question on a vacuum line which I do not have any pictures of it being connected when I was tearing apart my engine to replace the valve cover gasket. (Something I do, when I work on my car is either video or take pictures so I never put it back together incorrectly). On the top of the valve cover, there's a round valve PVC? with a nipple on it, should there be a hose hooked up to that? Ive read many posts that say it was no longer used. Ive searched my entire engine for an unconnected hose with no avail. Should it be connected to something? I have 328xi E90 N52 2008. I'm about to order new vanos, I have 2 coil packs coming for cylinders 3 and 4 which were said misfiring. I changed the plugs but I can only use certain plugs with my BMW these are what I use, BMW Spark Plugs Platinum Plug Set Bosch OEM 158253 / FR7NP P332 (6pcs) Ive tried the NGKs or any other plug, cant use them they gave me a horrible misfiring. There's a number of things with my car which I'm only mentioning in case there's some crazy correlation; Power Steering line is leaking, nothing major at least not in my opinion its on my list to fix eventually. Most parts Ive purchased have been after markets, not OEMs. I'm not using acronyms because not everyone knows what they are. Here are the codes Ive gotten P0444 P0012 P0300 P0303 P0304 P0171 P0174

    Hi friend,
I don't know n52 engines and I can not help you much (atm) but when it's a BMW and you have lean codes things are easy to handle.
Go and do a smoke test. smoke test before and smoke test after the job is done. If you have no leaks contact me pm i will try to help you as much as i can.
