    Pitting on head

Prepping my spare head to swap in. Notices pitting around the water holes. The HG seals most of the hole. Feels too deep to have cut out. Options ?

Depending on your machine shop costs, it might be worth having it decked just to see.

Spoke with a machine shop. Those spots would need to be cleaned out and welded then shave the head.

Has it ever been decked before? I think it would clean up with an aggressive cut (within safe tolerance) if there is enough meat on the bone there. Hard to say since the pics don't show depth too well.

Buy a better condition head unless you have expensive port work on that one.

I don't think its worth it to put much labor into the head so ill just scrap it. I have a lead on a local head but if things fall through I will let you know. Shipping would be expensive.
