Hi all. For a decade I've had an issue with just my front passenger door window that when it rolls up, when door is closed and back pass window is up already, it stops rolling up and then starts rolling down about 12 inches again and I have to play this game of roll it up a bit, pray to the Aliens above that it doesn't hit the "nope, now you go back down" point, then I let it sit for a few seconds and then I roll up again holding my tongue the right way...just in prayer that it closes. We'll now I'm wondering if it's the regulator or limit switch which is bad?
8f the door is wide open then as I roll it up,it rolls up no issues ... Anyone else have this issue?
If it IS a limit switch that's too sensitive, where is it located on the door?

I swear, my cars are like a girlfriend.
Sometimes its a rough ride, sometimes its smooth motorin'.
Sometimes she doesnt like how i treat her and sometimes i dont like how she behaves.
BUT at the end of the day, she loves it when I am inside her.
If the position of the door dictates whether it works or not,
then the issue most probably is in the door wiring harness.
Check for frayed or broken wiring at the section between the door and body of vehicle.
God suggestion but if it was a wiring issue and not a safety issue, why would the window roll back down after hitting a certain point?

It stops because the current rises to high - due to the friction between the glass and the pretend 'B' pillar. A good place to start is lubricating the rubber on the pillar with Gummi-Pflege - that will reduce the friction and should get the window moving nicely again
