Hello!I am selling/trading my (mechanic owned) 2001 BMW 540i, 6MT. It has 183,xxx miles and has had a lot of work done in the past few years. In the past several months of my ownership I’ve replaced the alternator, the front upper and lower control arms, the motor mounts, the tires, the radiator, the brakes including front calipers (when they come in the mail) and a couple of other small things. The previous owner also had a lot of work done including the timing guides service, and I have several records I received from him, though the timing records were not included, so I can be 100 percent sure it was done.I love this car so much, but my true love lies in the e38 7iL series, which is the ONLY trade I’m open to. When I bought this car, I chose it because I did not want to lose driving an MT, however I realize how much I miss the room I had in my B7 Passat. I just prefer a bigger car. SO if you have an e38 iL, I would be interested in trading. I strongly prefer black on black (But let me know what you have), bone stock or modified ( would love something on air ), and if you happen to have part or all of an MT swap, I’d be interested in that too. I don’t have skin to put in the game right now, so if you don't want a straight trade or money on your end, sorry I can’t haggle that way.Car runs and drives great! No lights, no codes, no weird noises. The ONLY issue I have is a rough idle on cold start, until it warms up. It does stall during that period SOMETIMES, but not usually, then starts right back up (I think it's just a throttle body gasket). The exterior is ‘good’ and what's to be expected from a 20 year old car. Very small surface rust in a couple of areas, but the interior is probably a 9/10 with everything working correctly. Like I said, I love this car. Driving it, working on it, looking at it haha, so unless I get what I want, I don’t need to sell or trade it. No rush at all.
