    Experience with BMW Radio CD23

Hi all- has anyone had any experience with the BMW radio CD23? I understand it doesn't have CD changer capabilities but if the sound output and quality is the same as the CD43, it might be worth it at the end.

I recently swapped in a CD43 along with BavSound speakers. It’s a really nice combo. I also added a GROM audio USB interface to connect/control my phone.

I have the CD23 as it came original in my car. It was quite difficult to find someone who wanted to repair it - the CD laser in most of these is broken, and so are the potentiometers. Also there is no easy way to connect a CD charger - the only way is soldering the motherboard, most people connect the AUX cable to the AM trasnmitter so you can access the AUX by pressing the AM button. I haven't done that myself, I though it's too much hassle. You would probably be better off with a CD 43.
