The original fluid recommended for the ZF 5HP30 green tag transmission was Esso LT71141 (BMW 83229407807). ZF is now recommending Pentosin ATF 1. Does anyone have experience with Febi G052162F2 which claims to meet current LT71141 specifications? ZF does not list this option but says at this point it is an unknown for them.

I would personally just use the Pentosin ATF-1. That's what ZF recommends, and what I use at work, for transmissions it's prescribed for.

You already have sound advice from the folks who built the trans.
Eventually someone here will tell you its okay to use something else. I doubt they will buy you a new trans if things go south.
