    HELP! Radiator/transmission problems

There is white gunk inside my radiator cap. Its leaking coolant. I've dealt with a similar issue on a Ford Taurus which resulted in me having to replace the radiator. I'm guessing its atf leaking into my coolant. Not noticing coolant in my atf though. Engine doesn't seem to drive well in 5th gear.

Check the head gasket. Either by a block test or compression test. If its real bad you should see it in oil maybe pull plugs after a good drive see if coolant seeped into cylinders. Ever have a hard start 15-20min after driving hard?

*UPDATE* Driving home from my moms (<10 miles) EML, Traction control, and brake light came on. Car wouldnt accelerate. Overheated all the way. Pulled off, turned it off, turned it back on, no lights, drove it 1 mile happened again. At this point I just wanted to get the car home. When I got off the freeway I heard clicking when accelerating. Car just made it home.

What’s the maintenance history of the cooling system? The consensus here and on other bimmer forums is that the cooling system needs to be overhauled at 100k miles (163k kms).
