Clunking in suspension

I am getting a pronounced clunking noise from my left rear suspension whenever I go over a bump in my 2007 Z4 3.0 coupe. Any ideas?

I would start by checking the sway bar links and also check for a loose or broken shock. It could also be a bad wheel bearing. Or, it could be something else. Those are where I would start.

I didn’t find it. Someone else suggested that diagnosis.

Harlfishing was correct. Broken shock. I am replacing all four.

I bought a set of Koni Active FSD shocks and struts for my 328ix. I could really tell the difference but then again my rear shocks were leaking pretty bad. I may get some for my 03 Z4 later this summer if we can leave our house by then.
