zf 6hp28 trans Issue

Hi,
I am having trouble with my zf 6hp28 transmission on 2009 750li. fault code is 400671-position valve malfunction or position valve jammed. Any idea what it would be and where to buy part. I have already drained transmission fluid.

Help needed!!
Car was stuck in 3rd gear and when I scanned it says "position valve jammed". Then I flush fluid take out the valve body, install new separate, new zip kit, and put everything back. Now car doesn't even move. Scan with ISTA+ and found transmission position is 3rd gear, selector lever shows P or D or R(where ever I move)but the car doesn't move at all. Need
guidance to troubleshoot further.

Were you able to figure out your problem. I have 2011 75il. Few weeks ago my transmission acted wierd during moderate climb and speed was about 40mph. Transmission malfunction light came on. I kept driving reset the light and car normalised. Yesterday during cruise on staright road, same speed, seemed like something gave up, Xdrive light came on along with transmission malfunction. Anti skid light came on too. I barely made home. first it would not go in park and D light kept flasing. I turned the car off and restarted, it shifted to park. I moved it back to D and car will not engage. with more throttle, finally it was able to climb my drive way. I have left it parked thinking what to do next. Any advise? I am thinking take it to dealer and get it diagnosed. I am fairly familiar with mechanics of car but i am not a professional.

Mechatronics is bad. Time for a new one or just get a new transmission.

BMW quotes approx $17000.00 for new transmission. i have seen overhauled/repaired Mechatronic units $400.00-$650.00. I can probably change it. Bottom filter hoousing and oils adds another $300.00. Used transmission low miles about $1500-$2000.00. not sure what is the best route to go. BMW could not figure anything out, they told me they are unable to duplicate the problem. Keep driving. They don't repair anyway, they just replace it with new.
