    dinan clutch/flywheels

some of you old guys, do you remember what was available for 87 325i from Dinan? The guy that my parents purchased this said it had a "racing clutch". I am assuming they were dinan since there is badge, springs, tips, etc. I believe it may have a lighter clutch in that i have to rev a little to get it going, but then it revs happily after that.

What i am trying to figure out, do i change out the clutch/flywheel while i have been working on it or not. No signs of slippage at all that i can tell. I dont think i need to change it out yet, but before i button everything from transmission back up, i am just wondering if i need to do this while i have it apart.

    No e30s, again :(
how thick is the clutch disc? if its not near the rivets, you are ok for a while. you might have lightened fly wheel but I don't know if it was an option with a dinan package. I don't remember well enough to say yes or no though

You really can only see from the edges, like when you look at brake pads. Wait, is there an inspection panel to evwn check that on the 5 speed?
