Car idles steady at 1100rpm, why is this happening ?

Yeah if it's an oiled air filter then yeah, the oil will get on your MAFS and will mess up the idle. Switch to a paper element without oil and get a can of MAFS cleaner (don't use anything else).

you can try to clean the icv it's easy to do because it has the engine that is actually simple to work on just take the icv out and clean it if it's never been done, carb cleaner and shake it until you hear a clicking noise
