Hey everyone! Recently purchased an '89 E30 and the previous owner didn't have the radio code. I successfully pulled the radio out in order to try and find a sticker with the serial number but I can't find one. The radio is an Alpine CM5908 and on the back there's a metal plate with the number: F81236849 B on it. Is there any way anyone could help me retrieve the code? Thanks in advance!
Not written in the service/owner books anywhere? Have any receipts for work done at a dealer? Sometimes service writers put the code on the paperwork in case mechanic disconnected power.
No I looked through the service records pretty extensively and couldn't find any mention of the code. Car was also missing owner's manual when I bought it :/
I called local bmw dealership parts counter and just asked for the code
