Euro E34 steering wheel conversion help needed (searched forums)

I purchased this refinished wheel form a guy in ebay, the wheel is beautiful but we quickly realized the airbag connector module is post steering column. As with my e31 the SRS is pre wheel. I'm not sure how if even possible this can be retrofitted. I've reached out to wuffer who seemed to be the only one who knew how to make it work, no replay yet. I've searched every thread but nobody has actually done it. All I want is for the airbag and horn to work, however I think the biggest issue is the 3 point to 1 point slip ring rear being incompatible.

So before I initiate the ebay claim, can anyone chime in if this retrofit would work?

Airbag Control P/N 65778354495 is correct for E31 from 07/89 - 10/96. The only other possibility is that it fits an E34 from the same period, which is reasonable. There are no other parts in the catalog with numbers 8354495 in them. I'm assuming the seller didn't bolt the module in a different steering wheel, but I suppose anything is possible. If the splines on that wheel fit the shaft and the slipring is listed on the e31wiki.org link, you should be fine.

The seller sent you the correct link for how to go about the steering wheel swap. Please post the following and I'll be happy to help you figure out what additional conversion parts and steps are needed:

-OLD slipring part number
-NEW slipring part number
-Last 7 of your VIN or build month/year
