    S54/6spd into E36 - driveshaft length?

I am in the process of dropping an s54 and 6spd in to my E36. Does anyone know the driveshaft length in need? Can I use the Euro 6pd driveshaft length of 1,367mm?
    Sorry for Hijacking thread!

I think Euro driveshaft only works if you're also using a 210 case diff.

I intend to shorten my current driveshaft, but need the length to give to the machine shop. Is the euro length correct?

You really should measure. If you still have a slip fit center, you have some play there to use. But as noted above, 188 vs 210 diff could make a slight difference.

Flange to Flange from Tranny to Diff is 54 5/8 inches. Euro E36 driveshaft is 53.82 inches, I'm thinking this is the measurement I need to use.

Euro DS would be a little short so you would have to pull the splines apart in the center, which people do but it’s not ideal. If shortening a shaft and you can gets better fit, do it. My recollection is that the 210 diff flange in the E36 subframe fits about 3/4 inch further forward so you measurement makes sense. I swapped a 210 in place of my 188 and this was the case but I adapted the USA subframe that never held a 210 rather than the euro M3 subframe.
