E36 w/Depo projectors - white halogen low / LED high?

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a proper Xenon/HID conversion but would like better lighting than the standard US-spec lights on my 95 M3. Anyone done H1 halogens in a whiter color with H1 LEDs for the high beams? Recommended brands to match best? I guess I should do the white halogens in the fogs too ... recommendations?

I've used Morimoto 2 Stroke 2.0 ($150) down to Hikari LEDs ($40) and have been satisfied with both. However I have used both in a low beam setup that has a projector. Time permitting (since we all can't go anywhere anyways) I can try the LED's in high beam but they may actually produce less light than the halogen being a reflector style. I had H1s Halogen and did not like the output. As long as you aim properly HIDs and LEDs have been fine. Plus our cars are pretty low anyways.

As for fogs, I run yellow halogens since I can get foggy, however I've used LED and HID before as well. If you want to stick with halogen for ease, I use Nokya brand. Arctic or Cosmic white.

What are the standard bulbs for depo's?

For some reason I thought it was H1 for low, and H7 for the high beams.

You are correct that some used H7 bulbs, possible other revisions or DJ Autos. Both these Depos and Euro Bosch use H1s in both.

Also Morimoto came out with new LED headlight revision, it’s almost perfect for an led.

Morimoto makes industry standard aftermarket LEDS. Their newest product addresses some of the beam pattern issue and heats the housing. It's pretty neat. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/h1...H11?quantity=1

That's a link to fog lights. Do you know if the applications for zkw or depo projectors work well?
