Hey SilverE39, glad everything's cool up there. It's the same here, essential businesses are up and running, everything else is closed, but shipping is still on par with pre covid19 standards, at least on domestic shipments. I miss going out and dining for meals, can't. Wait until this Chinese manufactured pandemic blows over. And they realize it didn't wipe us out like they hoped it would, stupid idiots, trying to level the playing fields....

Yep I think it's all going to work out Snotty,,, Just going to keep on keeping on is what i say.
We live in the best Countries in the world so it's going to take more than Covid this to take us down.
Keep your head up and the wrenches spinning!
Cheers

Yepyep! Funny how backwards countries like goofy China think they are better and righteous, jokes on them, I say F 'em all! We should just be done with them all and hit the button..... God forbid they give me the controls.....

My wife and I were doing more driving around last week. I snapped a few more pics of cars that I'll throw up tomorrow. Gotta hit the sack, been up since 5AM.
Nice! For some strange reason, I like seeing abandoned cars and wondering thwhat their story was.

Yes, me too. Some of them could be redone into great rides or street brawlers that could blow the doors off most.
I drove on this road probably 5-6 times in the last 3 years, never noticed them before.
Check out the one in the back right. Don't remember what it was actually called. The 2 in the foreground are 1965/66 models, I think.
My Dad had a 65 Monza, I remember washing it every weekend when I was a kid, just hoping to get the keys when I got my license.
I use to work with a guy that put a cammed up 327 in the back seat of his Corvair, flipped the transaxle around and got an adapter plate.
It was scary fast, noisy as hell with the engine just behind the front seats.

This Apache looks to be a daily driver, it was registered.
Lower it, chop the top, drop a turbo LS in it and some paint and it would be a big buck truck.

This Prowler belongs to a friend that lives down the street. He's building a '36 Ford all metal LS powered. He's a pissa sheet metal guy with a big shop next to his house.
He converted the doors on his '36 to suicide doors. He's also got a 40 something Harley and a newer Harley, the one that Porsche did some design work on the motor.

That's wierd, when I posted them that showed up.
If I click on the attachments above they show up.
I'll check it out more after dinner, I smell BBQ ribs cooking.
Ha! Grilling some chicken right now, myself.

OK, see if it works for ya now. Pics should be there.
Awesome! Man, you're right, that Apache would make a nice restoration. I would love to get a '55 or '56 Ford truck and do a cool restomod. Those Corvairs! That guy loves them, just not enough though, apparently.

It's too bad they are just going to waist. I didn't get any pics of a house down the street from the Covairs, that guy had a bunch of 60's VW bugs in his yard.
The second generation Corvairs were such an improvement. A '69 convertible is one of those that "got away" from me long, long ago. I walked away from the sale, certainly over a small amount of money back then.
It makes me sad seeing old cars continue deteriorating. So often the owners are either willing to sell but delusional about value or they just continue to hoard but not maintain them. Meanwhile they get worse and worse, often until beyond hope.
At least these are in the desert and not melting away.
The Apache looks like a driver

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
Now, imagine our emotions if it were a crack house with a whole bunch of old BMW's scarrered all over the place.

Gone fishing, I caught a liberal..... You obviously don't know much about the true business class Chinaman from the homeland. I've seen what they do, on many levels, including my family business back home in the Philippines. You people that jump right at the usual rascist, xenophobic rap crack me up... Youre always welcome to shove your head back in the hole at anytime.

Wow is right. I could buy 2 of my hotrod for what that cost.
The acceleration must be phenomenal.
Did you read that part, about turn 1 at Laguna Seca, the race guys are taking that turn at 150, with the downforce that those wings on the front fairing are producing, he was doing it at 165? They’re ugly, but they work.

Sure did. Always loved watching motorcycle racing on TV. The way they lay them over going thru a turn is pretty cool. They just give it full throttle coming out of the turn and their upright sometimes with the front wheel off the ground.
I keep hinting about wanting another bike but I gotta finish the hotrod first. Pretty sure my hints are falling on deaf ears.
Just keep whispering it in her ear while she’s asleep every night for a couple weeks, then head on out to the delership.

sup guys ! cool link ! I always liked the Duc's. Still have an itch for an 888 or a 916. Maybe one day...lol.
...sold my GSXR a couple years back - which I'd had for over 20 years. There wasn't a single day that bike didn't put a smile on my face and it's OLD tech...haha. Tach swinging past 10,500rpm on it's way to the 13.5k redline and it was like a different machine. Up-sized 38mm carbs howling as loud as the full Yosh race kit exhaust was...
