Hi guys, this is my first post so bare with me please.
I have a BMW X3 E83 2.0 TDI 2006, it has the following lights on the dash; 4x4, ABS and tyre pressure.
Also shows these codes on the diagnostic machine; 55C4- NO MESSAGE FROM DSC, 55C9- NO MESSAGE FROM DSC, 55C8- NO MESSAGE FROM DSC.
Vehicle also judders in 1st and reverse.
Previously I have replaced the transfer case actuator, checked the motor is working correctly (it is), rear left drive shaft, rear left ABS right and sensor, rear right ABS sensor, none of these fixes have resolved the problem.
Could you please give me any ideas as to what the problem may be?
Thank you in advance.

The diagnostic codes are (perhaps) telling the DSC module is not responding and it may have called it quits. It is a black plastic box where all the brake lines congregate on the passenger side of the engine bay. The location is not ideal, since it is getting a lot of heat from the exhaust manifold.
Is your diagnostic tool able to pinpoint this module and see if it responds? I assume the ABS brakes are not working now?
Unfortunately I can’t get a direct connection to the module & yes ABS system is pretty bad due to this
Because of can bus systems the dsc module communication could be interrupted by some thing else on the system, like we have had cars the would not communicate because of the gateway module for instance
Did you find the fault with this?
