Hello,
i'm actually installing back my driveshaft and i'm asking myself about how i need to tighten the center nut who connect the two parts of the driveshaft. I can't torque it obviously but did i need to tighten it as if my life depended on it or so ? Didn't really know about the contraints on it so that's the question.
My driveshaft is from a 324td but i thinks it's the same way for every e30's driveshaft.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
The nut will feel tight before it actually grabs IIRC. Make it snug but you don't have to squeeze the the heck out of it. It has to be able to slide but can't be lose.
I just tighten mine with some pliers when I change center support bearings

Well, thanks you guys.
And btw do you confirm the best and correct way is to tighten this nut when the driveshaft is placed on the car, and not before ?
I always did mine before installing on the car
No e30s again.
