New member saying hello

Just picked up my 1st BMW. Hopefully I made a good choice and right decision on this 2013 135i with 31000k 1 owner. Looking to learn as much as I can and where to start with the on mods.

Nice ride. I like the color. Did you get any maintenance records? Having been driven 31k miles in 7 years (~4300 miles a year) means it was likely owned by some little old lady who drove it “conservatively.”

Some recommendations:
- find a reputable indie shop that specializes in bimmers at www.bimrs.org
- join the BMW Car Club of America
- down load the OBDFusion app for your smartphone or tablet
- buy a Veepeek WiFi interface adapter that plugs into the obd2 port under the dash so the car and OBDFusion can communicate
- buy only Top Tier Gas (www.toptiergas.com) to keep the injectors and the intake valves clean
- take the car on a weekly drive of 20+ miles at highway+ speeds
- be prepared to spend at least $1000 a year on maintenance
- have fun driving the car like a bimmer should be driven (hint: not like a little old lady!)

Thanks. It was a 1 owner older man actually. Could of been the wives in reality though. I have all records and I know the shop owner who did all the maintenance after the factory warranty expired. So I have a great shop fairly close. I also came from MINIs for many years and I know all about BMWs LOL. It even came with the original postcard to join the BMW club. Ill be joining soon. Whats the OBDFusion for exactly? I have a great BMW/MINI scanner for issues that come up. Same thing?

OBDFusion is a great app that:
- scans the engine computer (DME in BMWspeak) for P codes
- clears DME codes (doh)
- allows you to see various obd2 data streams
- allows you to record and export (as a .csv file for analysis in Excel) various obd2 data streams.

Very useful app.
