Anyone here know a place to find a video or thread for a 210mm diff rebuild? I've got the diff all apart on table. I'm upgrading to 4 clutches and a 3.62 Ring and pinion. I don't know torque specs or tolerances and obviously a step by step assembly would be sweet but I'll take whatever you guys got!!! Thanks!!!

Also there is the shimming of the gears and bluing them to get the gear pattern correct
Yes sir. That's part of the "tolerance" number requests I'm talking about.
Pinion preload: MM recommends 14-16 inlbs, TIS recommends 12-23 inlbs (Timken bearings)
Backlash: Metric recommend 0.003-0.0035, TIS recommends 0.0024-0.0055
I've done research on this, and I've gathered quite a bit of info on it that I should file dump here soon. For now, I'm wondering if I'm missing a simple DIY thread or instruction sheet. My search words may be not finding them.
Thanks all, still looking to hear from others. Thanks especially to 2010RPH for infor he's posted in past. Also, RAO thank you for chiming in on many threads with your info as well and others that have invested some time putting info out here about this.
We need a sticky thread to be made with all the details necessary for this job.
AINT NO WAY THESE COMPANIES ARE WORTH THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THEY CHARGE TO DO AN HOUR'S WORTH OF WORK ON MY DIFF! WHAT A RIPOFF!
Idk if this is illegal on bf but here:

Unfortunately the pictures are gone because they were hosted but the OP of that thread was monumental to the wealth of DIY knowledge in the world of the E39 M5. He is sorely missed by the community.
Thought I would check and see how everything turned out.
I am about to rebuild one myself. So any help would greatly be appreciated.
