1988 BMW 635 csi, Daily driver, $3500

TRADING my 1988 BMW 635csi.
TRADE ONLY for any thing that runs. ANYTHING.
Cash will work too, $2500 and it’s yours.
Be realistic, it’s a 32 year old daily driver, NOT a show car.
Still looks good, turns heads and prompts questions every time I drive it.

Car developed a “miss”. Started last year and had gotten progressively worse. Exhaust stank to high heaven too rich and gas mileage was in the dumper. I had been driving the car until today (03-15-20). Then it stopped in the drive way, turned over and sputtered but wouldn’t restart.

Yah, it just died in the drive way Sunday 15 May 2020.
Monday morning 16 May 2020. Dumb thing started right up as if nothing happened.
Ive put 40/50 miles a day on it since.
!!! And I didn’t do a single thing to it. Just let it sit over night. W.T.F., over!?!?
One guy is telling me head gasket.
Another is saying engine management/sensors or injectors.
I GIVE UP!!!!!

Clean oil and coolant. Engine did not knock, ping, clunk, overheat or make any strange noises. No smoke from tail pipe, exhaust is solid and quiet. Automatic Trans shifts great with no slipping and functions in all 3 modes. Body is pretty straight for age. Fenders, hoods all still have matching BMW factory vin stickers=no wrecks. Minor, minor wheel well rust starting on driver side, passenger side looks good. Driver seat no so good. Passenger front okay. Rear seat are in good shape. Carpet is bad, stains, not wear. 17 inch factory BMW rims.
