Have a 2004 Z-4 that I replaced the air bag module last year but the light remained on. The module fryed do to water intrusion. I took it to a BMW dealer to have it checked out, maybe turn the light off if everything tested good. After a hour and half of waiting they advised they could not code the module and turn off the light since it has an aftermarket radio in it. Is there way around this? My wife would prefer to have the air bags functionable.
Thank You
Trying to figure out how aftermarket radio would interfere with airbag module/airbag light error.
If you have aftermarket radio you likely have 6 speaker system which allows for the aftermarket radio swap. In that case the aftermarket radio harness plugs into existing wiring harness without any cutting etc....
It should not interfere with coding/clearing of errors.
