Hi everyone,
Today after fixing the headlights and removing the front bumper and back again, so I started the car and took it out of my garage, then when I parked it outside of the house, then I turned it off, and after few minutes when I wanted to start again, there is nothing just a click sound from the starter and this message shows up, on display, " ignition fault, do not switch off engine" the problem the engine is not on..and the second message is on dash which says "Ignition. Do not stop engine"... I am thinking about the starter but the problem is I want to be sure, because it just happened without giving any symptoms of bad starter... I wonder if the car computer thinking that the car engine is on, and that's why its showing these messages.. I would appreciate any help, thanks, and sorry for my bad english by the way the car is 2010, 750.. I hate to take the car to mechanics here where I live today in Belarus, they are 90% thief's...I have already changed waterpump, tension pulley and more by myself, so I like to do things by my self and learn about the car I have..

Hi, I have a 730d and sometimes when i have tried to start the car a message will come up "ignition fault". I can hear a clicking noise which I think is the starter motor trying to tick over and battery is fine. This happens occasionally, any ideas please??
