Hello all,
I have an E32 and E34. Anytime I charge my phone through the cig lighter adapter I get a nice fuzzy feedback through my speakers, more often when using the radio (antenna) but occasionally when playing music through an aux cord.
My basic knowledge base is telling me that current could be flowing back into the circuit through the phone, in which case a diode would solve my problem.
If this is indeed the solution, what amperage diode would I need? Since it is a 2amp charger would a 2amp diode suffice? Or would it be wiser to use a diode that is the same amperage of the fuse?
Or am I just wayyyyyy off base on this one and getting the interference through an improperly shielded wire?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I’d try another cig lighter charger first.
I try the simple things first.
Cheap chinese-made chargers can throw noise into your cars electrical systems. Try a higher quality one.
If you're still having trouble, there are noise traps/low frequency filters you can wire into the 12V input for your radio.
