BMW PA Soft No Coding Data Received from IKE

Id like to change some of the settings in the car, like auxiliary park heater functionality etc.
I have PA Soft BMW scanner v140 and Im connected to a L322 Range Rover TD6 with the BMW electronics system. All functions seem to work, error codes, reading eeproms etc but when I try to recode the IKE it says no coding data retrieved.
I believe this is due to the wrong coding index and if it can be amended to 08 in the Hex dump it should work?
So I have downloaded the eeprom from the IKE but cannot find the coding index at hexoffset 0x317 that I was expecting, so I am reluctant to change it.
Does anyone have confirmation of which hex offset the coding index is? Or any other suggestions why I cannot retrieve coding data from the IKE.

I’m having the same problem with a 2003 e46 m3 if I plug in the PA SOFT 1.4 scanner and when I try code the IKE it tells me no coding data retrieved, has any one else had this problem or how do I overcome it?
