So I'm looking to buy a pair of updated headlights for my 05 325ci Conv. I also want them to come with AE. Anyone know where to get a pair ?
Spyder brand has a few options to choose from, but I would recommend using the model number and going on eBay and Amazon to get the same thing for cheaper. That's what I did. My headlights are Spyder brand, bought from an Amazon reseller for ~60% of the price. And the Halo eyes are actually built in, so no crappy "retro-fit" process I see all these people doing on YouTube. The previous owner of my car tried his hand at the halo eyes retro fit and they failed miserably if you ask me. It also looks like crap anyways (even when done professionally). But that's just my opinion.
Thank you! 53 views and no one was replying...So thank you! I'm gonna look that up rn.
what does this mean? it's very confusing because I though all stock was Xenon?
Will not fit Models with Factory HID/Xenon Headlights.
Nope, the stock headlights in the E-46 were the Halogen lamps. The Xenon came seperatly or in the ZPP package.
Also you can have a look at DEPO, for they are pretty decent.
So on the post face lift (MY-03 and newer) coupes and verts except M3's have different lamps from the rest of the line. The blinker is incorporated into the headlamp.

Shop around the Spyder inventory, I had to get some for my e46 because I needed a quick cheap fix, and they're okay. I still need to wire in my AEs but as far as functionality they are fine.
Think I paid around ~$180 bucks, wishing I would've got the reflective backing to compliment the silver color of the ca instead of the black backing but you live and learn.
Make sure you wire in your AEs to somewhere with constant 12v power, if you wire them in to the blinker then they'll (you guessed it) blink when you signal which looks kinda dumb but if youre in to that then by all means.
AND PLEASE be sure to aim those suckers, spyder has angle adjusters built in so it's easy to do, dont be THAT GUY.
Good luck and have fun man, post pics!
Me pour, please give tips.
Have a look at these.
I bought these new from Italy (depo) and they are superb !!!
I have put Osram nightbreaker unlimited laser next generation bulbs in and they are fantastic.
Dont ever buy cheap bulbs !!
These are just plug and play and come on with just the sidelight switch and stay on with the headlights.
Sadly no flashing aloud in my country
Mart.

That's where I got stuck last time. finding a place to wire the AE's if you could please take it step by step and tell me. can't I just wire them to the low beam
??
The idea is that you want to know how you want your halo eyes to behave, and that will lead you in a direction towards what to wire them to. If you want them to blink with your turn signals, then splice them to your turn signal wires. If you just want them to be on whenever the car is on, then splice them to something nearby that constantly has power when the car is on. If you only want them on with the low beams, then splice them to the low beam wires. It's entirely up to you.
