    97 auto trans shifter question

Trying to fix 100 interior problems in my new-to-me 97 Z3 1.9 auto. Here's the auto transmission shifter cover from the bottom. https://photos.google.com/search/_tr...tut-mfy9pmXCQM
"Fixed" some broken tabs, but can't figure out how the sliding gear indicator is linked to anything. There is a broken plastic on the indicator housing (first arrow). Likewise, the LED light that illuminates the selected gear doesn't look like the wires for the LED were ever connected (second arrow). My manuals don't show these parts.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    -Scott
