The car lurches after I step on the gas from a stop or near 0 mph and then accelerates as usual. The car idles at about 550rpm at a red light/stop sign. I step on the gas to go, the rpm goes up a couple hundred revs and the car lurches a few feet; then the rpm drops back down to idle, and eventually it accelerates as if nothing ever happened. It happens in sport as well. It would be akin to a hiccup. I've detected no faults with my budget OBDII diagnostic tool so any help/advice would be welcomed!
Does it do anything when your almost stopped but don't like a rolling stop and then accelerate away is there a delay then a harsh transmission engagement?
New to the forum, just bought a 05' 645ci convertable with 98,000 miles for $5K....My 645 does that what you are describing. It also goes into limp mode if I get too aggressive in accelerating. It also does what OP said his does. I checked the tranny fluid and it showed a little low, 1/2 quart. By the way, I used the dip stick? I see posts where you have to check fluid levels from under the vehicle? Anyway, I was thinking about changing fluid and filter and then thought about looking into changing out the solenoids while I'm at it but I am very interested in seeing what you guys think.... Thanks for any input
I also ripped out the carbon filter in the air intake, boy, that made a performance difference. I have also ordered a Sprint Booster with V3 throttle pedal acceleration tech.
