    Your Unicorn?

I had a random thought. What E38 do you wish BMW sold in the US (it can be any combination of parts, as long as it's stock)?

    I'll go first:

2001 750i (SWB) with a manual transmission, full sport package (including the mech bits from the 740i Sport). All the interior 750iL goodies. Black exterior with dark chocolate seats and door card inserts, black leather dashboard and trim (OK that one's probably a stretch!).

I'd even "settle" for a SWB 2001 750iA sport. LOL.

E38 740i Jet Black/Black Sport Package | Power Rear and Manual Rear Side Sunshades, Power Folding Heated and Auto-Dimming Side View Mirrors | Front/Rear Parking Sensors
    MODS:
Paddle Shift Retrofit | Brushed Aluminum Gauge Rings | Reverse Steptronic | Reverse Camera | Tint | MKIV DVD NAV | BavAudio Stage 1 & Ghost Sub | 4500K HID | Heated/Massaging Seats | Celis Tail Lights | Depot Clear Front and Side Turn Signals | GROM USB/BT/AUX | COB LED Angel Eyes | Butterfly Headrests | Custom M-Sport Multifunction Steering Wheel | Euro Side Mirrors | Refinished 18" M Parallel Wheels with Polished Lip | Michelin Pilot Sport AS | 3M Aluminum Vinyl Trim | Alcantara Headliner | Coded

    You and Jason Statham.

I think I already have my unicorn. (2001 Imola Red on black M Sport) but if money was no object, I'd swap in a 6 speed and S70/2.

    E38 Alpina B7 without a doubt

I did some research when I was looking for and M5 and the Alpina B7 E65 and F01 are built to the hilt in the drivetrain. Don't get me wrong I love the leather and wood but if it doesn't make the car faster it's a waste of money.

I second that one! But do you mean E38 Alpina B12? Its one of the most beautiful cars ever made imo. If I could I would smash my E38 750 and my E65 Alpina together to get an E38 Alpina B12. Black on butterscotch with a manual tranny. All totally stock but with a bluetooth audio setup in the factory unit. And with the protection package!

    My unicorn(s) unfortunately don't exist. Either a 2001 Alpina B7 or 740I M-Sport or 750I M-Sport in Navarre Violet Metallic
, I absolutely love that color!

There is a 96 750iL in Navarre Violet / both the interior and exterior in the towns near me. It is a cool color.

I wish the 2001 E38 M-Sport had a V12 option (M73). I've seriously considered engine swapping mine because a 750i is basically impossible to find. When/if my guides go out, I may just M73 swap it. I love everything else about my 740i M-sport!
