    Oversized pulley for steering pump

    E36.

I'd really like to get an oversized/underdriven pulley just for the steering pump (and maybe the alternator). Not for 1-2 hp gains, but to stop working the pump/fluid so hard at high rpm. Seems this shouldn't cost $200.

    Anyone know of a solution?

    Do you mean oversized pulley?
Check Moroso and Powermaster for oversize alternator pulleys.

Thanks, that's closer to a reasonable price. I wish I could buy those pulleys ala cart.

They exist. Power gains are minimal. Every little bit counts so I have run them.

I know they're out there. I was just hoping someone would go "oh, just the PS pump pulley? Use the one off the E46 325, it fits perfect and is 27% larger".
Or such. I'd really like to slow the PS pump down to keep the fluid cooler and decrease the likelyhood of coolant spewing out the top of the reservoir.
