I'm having crank but no start issues

If I was a betting man, I would bet that he plans to replace the intake and exhaust vanos solenoid based on his no-start issue. If that's the cast, they are lacated right on the front of the engine (one plug and two bolts, then pull it out). You may need to remove the radiator fan housing to have easy access. It's best to replace on at a time as not to mistakenly reverse the plugs.

You're probably right, but I sure do wish people would be more descriptive of their problems and what they're trying to accomplish.
I will say though, that faulty vanos solenoids won't cause an engine not to start. They just lock in a default position. Now if the gears came apart, that's a different story.
