Hey everyone. SO I purchased a 2007 335i recently that was in need of some care. I knew this going in, so not terribly surprised. The car was definitely in a collision at some point as the entire radiator support was cracked in several places and some poor attempts were made at repairing it. The radiator went out yesterday, and I took the opportunity to take the entire front end apart to replace the rad support while i'm in there. What I wasn't expecting was that both headlight housings are broken in several places. The lenses look good, the lights function well, and the self leveling seems to work as well. The mounts are torn up that being said. I'm not sure if i'm going to be able to get them repaired well enough to mount properly with a new front end.
As it turns out, new OEM headlights are mad expensive. Are there any decent alternatives? I honestly don't care about the self leveling, etc. I just want good projectors and the angel eyes.
If the lights are working properly, seal/glue the cracks and forget the whole thing.

Sorry, just noticed your statement about the mounting area. Epoxy putty works great for a job like this.
Normally I would agree, but whoever had this car before me tried a lot of that. I may just try and refit them with the cracked bumper to see what I can do. I don’t however want to have to take the new bumper off once I get it pointed to less with headlights. The more you tend to take things like aftermarket bumpers off the more it seems like the paint tends to crack and I want to avoid that.
You can purchase Valeo brand headlights which are the OEM manufacturer for BMW for the headlight assembly. You can look for deals on FCPeuro.com
Yes, signing up for FCPEuro deals is a good idea.
Often only 20%, but sometimes more.
About 4% of what gets listed is of interest by my experience, but it's still helped. (mirrors and memory motors are on sale for my car, no headlights at this time)
It's also worth just shooting them an e-mail. They may respond positively. (just ask, hey, do you have this part on sale, or a sale coming up?)
