99 BMW 323i E46 M52TU Engine

I'm having trouble trying to figure out what this hose connects to on an E46 M52TU engine

Is it coming from somewhere behind the engine bay, where the fuel lines come from? Could you show a pic with a bit more of "context"?

Here's a picture of where it's located behind the engine bay and it runs all the way to the gas tank . I'm trying to figuring where the hose connects to where the intake manifold is

Most likely it's a hose that is part of the evap system. It goes into the back, right side of the intake manifold when facing the engine.

There is almost certainly an additional part of that hose which isn't in the picture. This hose goes to the purge valve. The purge valve lives at the front of the intake manifold, on a small metal bracket, just behind the power steering reservoir.

Hope you're well, it's been a long time!

About the hose, you know best, but isn't there an identical hose going into the back of the manifold? I've just taken off mine a week ago and I found the exact same hose at the back, all valves at the front being already used. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that my engine came from an E39 528i or that my manifold comes from a 330i ? Frankstein stuff I know
