    Oil leak near vanos area

    Hi,

I seem to have a oil leak near the vanos/timing chain area. Is there a gasket that needs to be changed or something else?

Haven't narrowed it down exactly where it's coming from, but it's around there.

There's several possible sources. Valve cover gasket, vanos assembly to cylinder head gasket, vanos supply banjo line or fitting etc...

If it's on the RH side, try tightening up the chain tensioner cap (32mm / 1-1/4" wrench or socket required). They tend to loosen up enough to weep oil.

Anyone have a picture of that cap? I'd like to check mine? Is there a torque measurement to tighten it to?
