    checking tranny fluid, taking off pan.

    2001 740il 140k

    transmission was acting up not wanting to shift after it got warm, it did 100 mph real quick getting on freeway and then when traffic slows not so much, jumpy.. so its up on jack stands dropped pan oil was black and not much metal on magnets. whats the best way
    to upload photos on here?
    stripped 4 bolts why their that tight i have no idea, got all out except one.
    been looking online and to the hardware store to get bolts.
    who makes the best bolt kits for these and whats the torque rating to put them back in?

    If there’s no metal it should be fine regardless of how it looks. Put a new OEM filter and new fluid in with a bottle of Lucas transmission fix and a tube or dr. Tranny shudder fix and it should shift like new again. If not, then you probably have a very worn transmission. Not uncommon at all to fail by 140k on what sounds like original fluid. Either that, or your trans temp cooler regulator thing is shot.
