2008 128i heater core lines one cold one hot

Hoping that someone can help me out! I an not getting any heat from the car, I have good fan speed and I just changed the thermostat and I still get no heat into the car. It may be possible that the heater core is somewhat plugged, as I get one line hot and the other cold. I am wondering if I can somehow blow out the heater lines, but not sure how to go about it. I put in the proper anti-freeze but I noticed that it seemed to not have the correct stuff when I drained the rad, it seemed that someone likely mixed
anti-freeze as it looked very strange.
So hoping that someone may have some advice for me. Thanks in advance.

Did you properly bleed the cooling system?

What did it look like the only reason I ask is if ther is an aggressive oil leak at the oil filter housing the oil and coolant can mix a bit when the profile gasket fails

    Thanks for the replies.
Yes the cooling system was bled, and there is no oil in the coolant. I think that someone before me added different coolant or the wrong coolant and it did not mix well. The mechanic who preformed the service thinks the coolants did not mix well. I am wondering if taking off the two heater core lines and flushing through them would clear the heater core. I wonder if regular water was used and maybe mineral buildup occurred in the core??
It is only a guess and hope right now.

Heater core is likely clogged. Flushing it may help, but it won't unblock it.

    thank you for the reply.
What kind of flush should I use? I am fearful of using the wrong thing and making things worse! Is there a preferred flush additive that you recommend? Is it worth while trying to just flush between the two heater hoses and not the whole system, or is it better to flush the whole system?

Use plain water, reversing the flow direction. If the water flows properly then the core isn’t blocked. If the flow is low use vinegar and let it sit in the core for a few minutes and then flush with water.
