my 2013 528i radiator fan make some jet noise i checked it come and goes it is a worst 10 to 15 miles drive i took it the dealership told me that to change all the fan and some accessories related with fan it cost more what is anticipated. any idea help me to figure it out.
thank you.
Well I am no rocket scientist lol but if you took it to the dealership that's the bottom line. With these kinds of cars, their is no cutting corners on repairs unless you want to tackle it yourself.
Check for faults it sounds like the electric water pump is failing and when this happens the electric fan automatically goes to high speed
Im having this same problem, but only when i turn the AC on. I replaced the waterpump and thermostat but the fan is still really loud. Im replacing the coolant temp sensor in a couple days see if that works. Has anyone gotten a fix for this?
-----EDIT: So I found a solution for this problem. It seems like my AC was overcharged, so I took an "AC pro" hose and drained some Freon from the low pressure hose for about 10 minutes. I turned my car on with the AC on and the fan was not on warp speed anymore, it was running regularly, could barely hear it. now my car probably needs to be recharged with Freon since AC is blowing hot air

I got this problem fixed! I did it by myself. Open the hood, locate the fan. Open it and you will see a lot of leafs inside => clean it and the noise will be disappeared
