Put together my E30, but leftover this unidentified part...

After putting together my E30 I have a container parts box of leftover bits. I mostly know what they are and where they go except for this....

Its like a large and thick washer of some kind.
25mm wide. The hole is 13mm, and the thickness is 4mm
The inside hole is slightly beveled/stepped, but only on one side.

Do any of you know what it is?

That ain't good. That is a head bolt washer.

I got a box of the old bits back after the engine rebuild. If they had used a new set of head bolt washers, why would there have only been 1 washer in there? It should have been 14. mmm

Actually its fine. This pic I took after the engine was built shows all bolts have washers. Weird how i ended up with 1 only though...

I was going to say its a head bolt washer but I wanted to make sure that was what you had worked on.

I keep those when I do head gaskets because they are thicker then normal washers and can be used on non-e30 items when I need stronger washers
    No e30s again.
