    CCV to Catch Can

Looking at getting rid of my ccv and going to a oil catch can. Is there any negatives to doing this?
    But it's a 90s M3......

Lack of vacuum assist unless you will be using a sealed system, in which case you aren’t really changing much. If you use a vented one, you will sometimes smell oil vapor in the car.

Ok good to know I've used them in turbo applications but not NA. The ccv is in pita spot just looking for ways to simplify things.

It’s a no maintenance item so it’s ok where it is. If you want a fancy catch can you can buy one and attach a drain hose to the dipstick stem. You can do it vented if you don’t mind the smell or closed. If closed you can have vacuum assist. My E36M3 is turbo and I run a vented catch can.
