Water Pump and T-stat replacement on 2006 E53 3.0

Going to do the job this weekend. Looks pretty straightforward - any tips or nuances? Driving several hours to do the job for my eldest spawn.

Tools I'm planning to bring:

• Clip removal tool
• Fan clutch wrenches
• Pry bars
• Screw drivers
• Mechanics/Rubber gloves (both)
• Socket (Metric) and ratchet sets
• Rags & Shop towels
• Torx socket e55
• 6mm x 1.0 bolts (x2) (to press out pump)
• 8mm Allen socket
• Silicone lube (for gaskets/hoses)
• Blue Loctite
• Torque wrench
• Wire brushes
• Zip ties
• Cutting pliers
• Catch basin
• Turkey baster

As it turned out, bad weather delayed the shipment, so I've added the rad, rad hoses, expansion tank, the various plastic bits and the front pulleys to the job.
